The Wayne County Community Schools Family and Community Engagement Team had 15 adults, 20 children, and 7 teenagers attend a Books by the Beach Coffee Chat event on July 27th.
"After the smoke forced us to postpone our initial event in June, we rescheduled the Books by the Beach Coffee Chat for July 27th. Given the weather, we weren't sure that anyone would show up, but we set everything up just in case. We were pleasantly surprised with 42 participants from ages 1 on up, and it was a great time! We got surveys filled out and had some great conversations about Community Schools.
